The popular deception game Among Us was released as Among Us VR on various virtual reality platforms in 2022. This 3D first-person version reimagined the classic game, where innocent crewmates try to identify and eject dangerous impostors. Now, Among Us VR is being rebranded as Among Us 3D and will be available on Steam for PC players, bringing together both PC and VR players on the same platform.
Among Us 3D is Coming to PC, VR Version Rebranded
The new game, A.U 3D, is set to launch on PC soon. While an exact release date has not been announced yet, players eager to try it out as soon as possible can play the Among Us 3D demo during the Steam Next Fest, starting Monday, February 24. Additionally, the game is now available for wishlist on Steam.
The PC version will introduce cross-play support between Among Us 3D and existing Among Us VR platforms. These platforms include Steam VR, Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2, and PICO 4. The rebranding of the VR version as Among Us 3D highlights that the FPS version is no longer limited to VR.
Among Us 3D: Content & Features
All content currently available in Among Us VR will be carried over to Among Us 3D, including:
- Voice Chat
- Engineer Role
- All existing VR cosmetics (hats, gloves, and outfits)
Additionally, the 3D PC version will feature a HUD (heads-up display), allowing players to view their task list, names, crewmate or impostor status, and other key information.
When Will Among Us 3D Be Released?
While an official release date has yet to be announced, players can experience the demo during Steam Next Fest and stay updated by adding the game to their Steam wishlist.
